Why Run? 5/1/2008

Participating in road races offer a range of challenges that make road running an increasingly popular sport. There is the competitiveness, to see who can run the fastest, to come in first or as a top finisher. There is the accomplishment, the achievement of running the entire length of the course; for walkers, the achievement of completing the course is quite exhilirating.

The varied challenges of road running include dealing with hills, different road surfaces, inclement weather, and interaction with a large group of participants.
